Located at 1 rue Guy La Brosse, 75005 Paris, LARGEPA was created in 1999. It is the first and only management laboratory at Panthéon-Assas Paris II University.
Scientific production and quality
The research conducted by the research lab follows a classical approach in Management Sciences and incorporates the work of each member on the theme of decision-making and rationality in organizations.
The LARGEPA activity is organized around two main themes:
• Managerial Action
• Marketing and Strategic Management
The activity report mentions significant scientific contributions: 434 contributions including 62 theses defended over the 2007-2012 period as well as several reference books published in the authors’ research fields.
Academic outreach and visibility
LARGEPA benefits from the reputation and the visibility of its teacher-researchers, who are recognized as experts in their fields of research at the national level, both academically and in socio-economic terms (companies, public administrations).
Several LARGEPA researchers collaborate regularly with other French and/or foreign researchers.
LARGEPA has successfully built up its international relationships thanks to the program of visiting professors (28 months over the period 2007-2011), and many of the scientific events it has organized have been attended by renowned professors from foreign universities (Pr. Mintzberg, Simonson, Starbuck, etc.).
Interaction with the social, economic and cultural environment
The LARGEPA has contracts with many public administrations (Ministry of Ecology and Energy, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Justice, ...) and is responsible for an effective transfer of knowledge by way of its research reports.
It maintains close long-term links with major corporations through the network provided by the Center for the Study of the Personnel Function, which brings together CIFFOP alumni (Inter-university Training Center for the Personnel Function).
Lastly, the research unit includes many members who work for national institutions (most notably several rectors of academies, Bournois commission, Director General of Higher Education). The laboratory’s standing is also reflected in the significant number of PhD students who are also senior executives in companies and public administrations.
Organization of the unit
LARGEPA members benefit from exceptional material resources for their work (premises, databases, etc ...).
The internal scientific activities center around monthly seminars during which research carried out by PhD students is presented, as well as work by teacher-researchers from the LARGEPA or visiting researchers.
Involvement training through research
LARGEPA is affiliated with the Doctoral School "Economic Sciences and Management, Information Sciences and Communication" (ED 455) of Panthéon-Assas Paris II University.
PhD students benefit from the use of premises where they can work on their thesis with individualized supervision close at hand. They also have the opportunity to present their work each month in the seminar organized by LARGEPA. Furthermore, they participate in doctoral courses organized by the Doctoral School.
Freshly minted PhDs can submit their application to the CNU, in order to become qualified and obtain a teaching position at a university or a business school.
LARGEPA is involved in the Master's degree "Management Sciences" from Panthéon-Assas Paris II University. The specialties of the degree are: "Human Resource Management", "International Human Resources Management", "Coaching", "Corporate Marketing and Communication" and "Management of Logistics Projects”.
The Laboratory is located at Management Sciences building: 1 rue Guy-de-la-Brosse, 75005 Paris.
